FABRICS
Cleaning: Wipe minor spills immediately. Wash with mild soap, warm water and soft cloth. Sponge thoroughly with water and allow to air dry. For more stubborn stains, mix three gallons of warm water with one cup of household bleach and one cup of mild laundry detergent.
MAINTENANCE
The best way to maintain the beauty of your outdoor commercial furniture is to store them in a dry area out of extreme temperatures or severe weather. If your commercial grade patio furniture is being used in areas where birds and trees are plentiful, covering your outdoor furniture is especially recommended.
Pacific Iron Works Outdoor Patio Furniture – Product Care
FRAMES
Wrought iron outdoor furniture is designed to require minimum maintenance. Metal frames should be kept clean and inspected routinely for damage to the finish which can cause corrosion, so touch-up immediately with paint. Do not let dirt build up on the metal frames and never leave your furniture standing in water.
Wash frames with a mild soap and warm water making sure to rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive materials or strong detergents. Seasonally you should touch-up any scratches, chips or occasional rust seepage from crevices or hidden, unfinishable surfaces inherent in some designs. The powder coat finish is formulated and baked on to make it highly resistant to insect repellents and suntan lotions; however, to avoid discoloration, clean the frame as soon as possible after exposure to these chemicals.
FINISH TOUCH-UP
Cover small spots of surface rust by lightly sanding the area then wiping with a clean cloth before applying touch-up paint. Scratched areas should be prepared by rubbing lightly with fine steel wool to smooth the surface and improve paint adhesion. Always apply thin coats of touch-up paint and allow ample drying time between coats. Touch-up paint in matching frame colors is available through your outdoor commercial furniture retail dealer.
WINTER STORAGE
All outdoor commercial furniture should be stored in an upright position to allow for proper water drainage. Factory drilled holes in the bottom of furniture frames serve as a drainage system. If outdoor patio furniture is placed upside down, it will not allow for water to drain. This can cause freeze damage, which is not covered by warranty.

TEAK FRAMES
Teak furniture and outdoor furniture components should be rinsed down with fresh water to remove surface dirt. While the teak is still wet the commercial grade furniture should be scrubbed with a soft bristle brush and a solution of one-cup laundry detergent and 1/2 cup of bleach mixed with 2 gallons of warm water. After scrubbing, rinse the entire piece with fresh water to remove any remaining cleaning solution.
For teak that is heavily weathered with deeper stains and discoloring, we recommend the use of Semco teak cleaner and other maintenance products.
Avoid the use of high pressure washing machines that can damage the teak surface of the outdoor patio furniture.
